During our lifetime it is not unusual for us to have times of difficulty or sadness. It may be that our difficulties are short lived or prolonged. No matter how big or small the challenges you face, counselling can offer a confidential, safe and professional relationship where you can expect to be listened to at the deepest level. I will support you in finding your own way through your difficulties and in finding your own answers.
I see counselling as a journey of discovery where the therapist gives her time, attention, understanding and support to the client who wants to explore a difficulty, clarify confusion, make a decision or perhaps find some new ways of living.
Counselling does not involve giving advice or directing a client to a particular course of action. The aim of counselling is to create a climate where the client feels safe enough to express and work through difficulties and concerns with a qualified professional who will not judge you, but will strive to help you to understand yourself more fully and empower you to find a way forward.
I believe counselling is a unique therapeutic relationship where you can expect to be listened to empathetically and with acceptance.
